Sunday at the Woodstock Farmers Market will be bursting with free kids activities, live music and sunshine. Bring your friends, family and neighbors to our ninth season opening this Sunday, June 2nd!
There will be limited amounts of strawberries at the market, so make sure you get to the market early! You will also find greens, rhubarb, asparagus, potatoes, fresh fish, meat, hard cheeses, eggs and so much more.
In addition to your favorite returning vendors, we are joined by Heart & Bones Kitchen (paleo, vegan, and allergen-free hot food), Roundhouse Foods (hummus), and Spice Pilgrim (ground spices and hand-blended teas). Plus after taking a year off both Flying Onion Farm and Hot Mama Salsa will be back at the market on Sunday!
For a complete list of vendors, visit our market map.
It’s June, which means it’s time to fill up your raised garden beds with veggies to enjoy throughout the summer. Mountainside Herbal Nursery and Amica Farm will have starts on Opening Day. Whether you want to plant tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, herbs, broccoli, fennel, squash or cucumbers, we’ve got you covered!
This is the fourth year for our passport program where kids can participate in activities at the market each week and get awesome prizes such as stickers, ice cream at Cloud City and more! Stop by our info booth to learn more.
There will be several kids activities at the market this Sunday including a fun rocket ship craft with Woodstock Library. Don’t forget to ask about their amazing summer reading program!
Kids can join Rosehip Midwifery to make seed tape with garden labels. If you are considering midwifery care, definitely talk to them about their comprehensive care for the childbearing year, childbirth education classes, and infant development/parenting classes. They were my midwives for the birth of both my kids and are amazing!
To round out the kids fun, there will be a coffee filter butterfly craft and Crista will be at the market face painting.
From 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., The Blue Tomorrows will perform acoustic gypsy jazz music.
Through the end of June, we are raising money to help sustain our SNAP Matching Program. This program helps those who need it most with gaining access to fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms right here in Oregon.
We have received generous donations from Bob’s Red Mill, Bridge’s Produce, VCA Woodstock Animal Hospital and the Woodstock Neighborhood Association. In the past two weeks we have also received $650 from the community. THANK YOU!! We still need $2,850 more to reach our goal, which will allow us to match $10 for the duration of the season.
