The Woodstock Farmers Market needs your donation today! Here are a few things that your donation may go toward:

  • $20 keeps kids engaged through activities and prizes at our weekly Kids  Booth
  • $50 covers one week of trash service at the market
  • $75 gets us one week of porta-potty service

Please note, the Woodstock Farmers Market is currently a registered 501(c)6 non-profit. Due to this status, individual donations are not generally tax-deductible for individual donors.

We have a Paypal account to accept donations for the 2023 season! Each year we rely on donations from all members of the community. Small, local businesses are our biggest Market boosters, but we wouldn’t be able to close the gap on fundraising without individual donations of all sizes!

You can also give by mail — make checks out to Woodstock Farmers Market and note “donation” in the memo. Our mailing address is 4207 SE Woodstock Blvd, PMB #251, Portland, OR 97206.

During the regular Market season, you can give in person — come to the information booth during the Sunday market and make your donation there.

The Woodstock Farmers Market could not be the vital community resource and ongoing success that it is without the generous support of various businesses and community organizations. We thank these sponsors for their support this season!

If you are interested in sponsoring the market, please see our current sponsorship flyer for information and a description of the sponsorship levels. If you are interested in sponsoring the market, please contact our  for more information.

The Woodstock Farmers Market has been connecting our community to local Oregon farmers since 2011. A huge part of our success has been the amazing group of volunteers that show up each Sunday throughout the season to lend their time and enthusiasm to one of Portland’s favorite farmer's markets. We couldn’t do this without you!

Volunteer Roles

Floaters will roam through the market, and may hover near entrances/exits. Floaters help with welcoming shoppers, answering customer questions, providing vendor breaks, and doing crowd counts. The morning and afternoon floaters will also be helping with minimal set-up/takedown. The midday floater shift is a great option for those unable to do heavy lifting. All floaters will be interacting a lot with our shoppers. Shift length: 1.5 hours

SNAP/Info Booth volunteers handle our wireless debit machine to convert EBT SNAP transactions into tokens which can be used with our vendors. SNAP/Info booth volunteers also distribute Double UP Food Bucks (DUFB), a matching program through Farmers Market Fund that makes healthy, locally grown food more accessible to underserved Oregonians. Additional training is required. We ask new volunteers to work a few floater shifts to build familiarity with our market, vendors, and policies before being trained in SNAP. This is because our info booth volunteers are often asked a lot of questions by customers. Shift length: 2.25 hours

Set-up/ Tear-Down Volunteers help us unpack/pack our shed with the needed equipment for the day. Get a quick workout in while helping us set-up/take-down bike racks, canopies, tables, chairs, bins, and more. This shift is great for able-bodied busy-bodies. Shift length: 45 mins

How It All Works

  • Keep an eye out for an email from our Volunteer & Community Coordinator, Kendall every week during market season These emails let you know what help we're looking for that week.
    • Often a follow up email is sent on Fridays if we are short-handed and still in need of volunteers that Sunday.
  • After receiving that email, you would respond with what shift you are interested in, and she'll confirm if it's still available. Then, you just show up for your shift 🙂
  • Training is typically done on-site. Being a volunteer is not difficult, and is supposed to be kind of fun! Our Volunteer and Community Coordinator is always around the market in case you need help.
  • Additional training is required for SNAP/Info Booth.
  • Volunteer shifts are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • There is no minimum or maximum number of shifts required for volunteers.

We would love for you to become a part of our Woodstock Farmers Market community!

If you’d like to become a volunteer, please fill out our brief Volunteer Form. If you have any questions, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.

Thank you for your support of our local community and farmers!
